Prior Learning Assessment, despite its promise and impact, has struggled to take hold at many community colleges. When asked why, administrators often point to faculty resistance, but that resistance (where it exists at all) can come in many forms. Recent research across two-year college faculty in Texas points to several possible concerns that must be addressed to see PLA expand across the state. This session will detail those concerns.
